Job Description:

Solvero Group is a holding company that unites several businesses within one group and supports them through centralized HR, Legal, IT, and Finance services.

We are looking for a Risk & Fraud Lead who will lead, manage, and develop our Risk & Fraud team, strengthen our risk framework - both at the operational and enterprise level- and contribute to the brand's successful development.

What you'll do:

  • Manage, lead, and mentor a team of Risk & Fraud Specialists, including hiring, onboarding, and coaching.
  • Organize shift schedules and workload distribution to ensure real-time coverage.
  • Set team and individual KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex cases, ambiguous decisions, and high-risk accounts.
  • Oversee real-time transaction monitoring to detect suspicious or fraudulent activity.
  • Review and approve decisions on flagged transactions and high-risk accounts.
  • Lead the detection and prevention of bonus abuse (multi-accounting, arbitrage, coordinated activity, incentive exploitation).
  • Oversee device checks and fingerprint analysis to identify linked accounts and fraud networks.
  • Guide investigations into IP inconsistencies, VPN/proxy usage, geo-location mismatches, and behavioral anomalies.
  • Oversee customer KYC verification (ID checks, proof of address, source of funds when required).
  • Oversee enhanced due diligence (EDD) on high-risk users.
  • Manage the chargeback review and representment process end-to-end.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (fraud rate, chargeback ratio, refund rate, abuse rate) and report on trends.
  • Own and optimize fraud prevention rules and risk engine settings.
  • Collaborate with PSPs on fraud alerts, disputes, and suspicious transactions.
  • Handle escalations and communicate internally via email, Jira, and Telegram.
  • Ensure investigations are properly created, tracked, and documented in Jira.
  • Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly fraud and risk reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of the group's broader risk management framework, covering operational, financial, and reputational risk alongside fraud.
  • Help define risk appetite and tolerance levels across the group, and translate these into practical policies and controls for each business unit.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and senior leadership to ensure risk controls align with regulatory, licensing, and governance requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Support the preparation of risk reporting and insights for senior management, highlighting emerging risks, systemic exposures, and recommended mitigations.
  • Assess fraud, compliance, and operational risk exposure as part of new market entry or new product launches.
  • Support planning for major incidents (large-scale fraud events, data incidents, regulatory inquiries) and help shape the group's response protocols.
  • Contribute to building out risk governance structures - policies, committees, escalation frameworks - as the group scales.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Risk, Fraud Prevention, Payments, or a similar role (iGaming industry required)
  • 2+ year of experience in a team lead, senior specialist, or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of fraud schemes, risk indicators, and suspicious activity patterns
  • Experience with transaction monitoring and fraud detection tools, including rule/engine configuration
  • Knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience reviewing accounts, transactions, and documents to detect potential fraud
  • Familiarity with payment methods, including cards, e-wallets, and online payment systems
  • Proven people-management and team-leadership skills
  • Ability to think beyond day-to-day fraud operations - understanding of enterprise or group-level risk considerations (financial, regulatory, reputational) is a strong plus
  • Comfort communicating risk exposure and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher
